Your driving instructor will ask that you sign a copy of the Terms of Business.

 

Signing the Terms of Business shows agreement and understanding of the terms and conditions entailed in taking driving lessons with your JustDrive Driver Training Instructor. 

 

The pupil certifies that a valid suitable licence is held to drive the tuition vehicle. Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence during the period they are receiving tuition.

 

Clients/Pupils of JustDrive Driver Training, are expected to dress in comfortable clothing. Clothing should not be too revealing. We ask that you dress for the occasion and with other people in mind. A degree of conservative regular-ness would be appreciated.

 

Clothing and grooming styles dictated by religion or ethnicity are exempt. 

 

Car seat covers are provided for your protection, and to ensure that seats can be wiped down for hygiene purposes, and to ensure that marks to clothing are kept to a minimum. 

 

We would kindly ask that jewelry is kept to an absolute minimum. This is to safeguard you against any accidental damage to the tuition vehicle and to ensure that if we have to assist you on the steering wheel during the driving lesson, that harm or injury to either yourself or your Driver Trainer is avoided.

 

Suitable driving footwear must be worn at all times. It is very important that you do not wear shoes that impede your driving ability. Thin-soled shoes are advised but avoid flip-flops or sliders. 

 

The UK has no specific law that says it's illegal to drive barefoot, more a general rule about maintaining control of your vehicle. The 1988 Road traffic act is the main piece of legislation and this basically says that you're guilty of an offence if you're in a position that doesn't give proper control or a full view of the road and traffic ahead.

 

In the event of mechanical breakdown or other difficulties outside the control of the instructor, the instructor reserves the right to rearrange lessons at short notice.

 

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to be given to the instructor by the Pupil to cancel a lesson and should the Pupil fail to give such notice, the Pupil may be liable to pay the full tuition fee.

 

A lesson is of no less than one-hour duration. If for any reason outside the Instructors control, it is not possible to give full hours of instruction, then any lost time will be added to a later lesson. It is the responsibility of the Pupil to ensure that this is noted.

 

The fee charged by the DVSA for the Driving Test, does not include transportation to and from the test centre, nor does it include the use of the tuition vehicle for the purpose of the test, or any last minute practice prior to test commencement. Therefore, current rates will apply.

 

Acceptable methods of payment for services rendered, are Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card or Bank Transfer.

 

Payment for each hour of instruction should be made 7 days prior to the lesson. JustDrive Driver Training, reserves the right to change the hourly rate with reasonable notification to the Pupil. 

 

All lessons taken after any introductory offer redeemed are charged at £33.00 per hour (Manual Tuition Vehicle), £37.00 per hour (Automatic Tuition Vehicle).

 

 

 

LEGAL LIABILITY

 

The pupil should be aware that the instructors primary objective is to promote road safety and in doing so, he/she may take control of the vehicle. The instructor will make every effort to instruct the Pupil to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors that the Pupil may make whilst driving and not accompanied by the instructor either before or after a test pass.

 

The instructor will endeavour to teach the Pupil the correct driving skills according to the recommended syllabus issued by the DVSA within the minimum number of lessons required.

 

Driving Tests may only be arranged with the prior agreement of both the instructor and the Pupil.

 

Any complaints are to be dealt with in accordance with the ADI Code of Practice.

 

The instructor is at liberty at his/her absolute discretion to refuse to proceed with a lesson if he or she has reason to believe that the Pupil is in any way under the influence of drink or drugs at the time of the lesson.

 

The instructor will accept no liability for accidents, injury or damage to any third party caused by the Pupil's recklessness or negligence during a lesson.

 

The instructor reserves the right to with hold the use of his/her vehicle for a driving test. All driving tests are to be agreed with the instructor before being booked.
